Claim your golf stats by text (optional)
When a friend scores a round in Two Down, you can optionally claim your stats to your own account. If you choose to, Two Down texts you a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify the phone number is yours. You always start it — we only send a code after you enter your number and tap Request code. These are transactional verification texts only: we never send marketing or promotional messages, and we never share or sell your number.
Consent to receive texts is not required to use Two Down. You can browse the app and view shared scorecards without giving a phone number. Claiming your stats by text is a convenience you opt into — you can also claim from a shared link, and you can decline texts entirely.

What to expect
- Program: Two Down one-time passcodes to verify your phone and claim your golf stats.
- Opt-in: user-initiated — a code is sent only after you enter your own number and tap Request code.
- Not a condition of use: consent to texts is never required to use Two Down or to view shared scorecards.
- Message frequency: one message per code you request.
- Cost: message & data rates may apply.
- Sample message: “Your Two Down verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time. Reply HELP for help.
